When we moved to this house, there was a massive climbing rose covering the arbor over the back gate. After many years, it got ratty and we replaced it with this rose from Select Roses.

It's called Roberta Bondar, which is an appropriate name for a Canadian climbing rose.

This is only its second year, and it has already climbed to the top of the arbor.

So far, it's been very healthy - only a tiny amount of black spot last year.

Bonus: as well as looking good, it has a pleasant scent.
